St. Patrick’s Tea, on the Wilde Side @ Green Bay Botanical Garden
Cost: $18/GBBG Member; $22/Non-Member
Mar 19 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Northeast Wisconsin Unit of the Herb Society of America

Join us for a traditional “afternoon” tea celebrating many things Irish, from Celtic myth to the legendary wit of Oscar Wilde.  We’ll imbibe things green, from green tea to Carrageen Moss jelly. We’ll learn about leprechans and little people.  New this year: we’ll savor a short reader’s theater offering of one  or two scenes from The Importance of Being Earnest, (subtitled “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People), a delightful mock of manners from that most Irish of raconteurs, Oscar Wilde.   As always, conversation over the teacups is accompanied by scones, savories, and sweets, enhanced by select teas.  “Bread and butter, or cake, milady?”
