Shoot WPS Garden of Lights outdoor light display with the help of local photographer, Marc Amenson. Learn the settings that work best to achieve beautiful nighttime photos this holiday season.

Please bring your own camera and dress for the weather. A tripod is recommended but not required for this hands-on beginner to advanced photography class. Class fee includes admission to WPS Garden of Lights.

Join us for a snowshoe hike through the Garden! Winter is a fun time to get outside and explore the adaptations of animals and plants in the colder weather.

No experience necessary, we’ll get you fitted and give an orientation. We have snowshoes to fit adults and youth, ages 6 and older.

With winter upon us, now is the time to enjoy the bounty of summer with hearty soups from ingredients stored in the root cellar and on the canning shelves. You’ll get to sample at least 6 soups while we talk about nutrition, soup stock on the cheap and the health benefits of seed breads.

Possible samples: “Busy Day Bean Soup” and “Winter Squash with Nutmeg Creamed Soup”. You might indulge your Italian taste buds with a “Tuscan Bean Soup” or a quick-to-assemble “Off the Shelf Taco Soup”. We may surprise you with lentils or chicken and dumplings. You’ll walk away with full bellies and lots of recipes!

Have fun painting with your friends in a relaxed group setting while following step-by-step instructions. Feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic refreshments and snacks to feed your creativity. Learn to write expressively and reflectively, utilizing the beautiful Green Bay Botanical Garden. Spend 2 hours of gently guided practice to learn writing techniques that will provide a catalyst to the organization of thought, emotion and memory. This healthy writing process will help develop skills for daily journaling as well as memoir or creative non-fiction writing. Your writings will not be critiqued but writing prompts and tips will be shared.
