How Does Open Mic Work at the Garden?
At open mic people can arrive at 4:30-5:45 pm to sign-up for a 10-minute family-friendly performance time (2 song set). Let the sign-up volunteer know if you want to play more than one set, check back in with the sign-up table to see if there will be time for a 2nd set.
The Garden will provide a simple speaker and microphone system (more details to come). If you have equipment that needs to be setup, be sure to communicate with the Garden ahead of time, you will probably need to come a bit earlier. Many people do bring a cd player with accompaniment tracks.
It is a fast moving event and we recommend that artists keep their setup simple and there is no time for sound checks between acts. Please return to the audience after your set to support your fellow artists.
