KIDchen Cooking

Bridgett Lowery of 416 Cuisine will be back with all new recipes! These one and two day camp options will help campers gain confidence in the kitchen while learning important health and culinary skills. Class is appropriate for children 9 and up, with one and two-day class options available.

$115/Garden Member; $130/General Public

Cancelations can be made up to 2 weeks prior to the start of camp.  A $10 administrative fee is charged for all cancellations, the remainder will be refunded to you. No cancelations or refunds are available with less than two weeks notice. If camper must cancel for medical reasons, full refunds are provided. To cancel, please call 491-3691 ext. 107.

Chef Shelly Platten, Healthy Chef Shell, LLC

If you ever wondered if your diet is directly affecting how you feel, you are not alone! Whole30 is a popular program to reboot your health and it centers on eating fresh whole ingredients and eliminating inflammation causing foods. Join Chef Shelly Platten as she makes two easy and delicious Whole30-based recipes that bring healthy vibrancy to your meal.

Green Bay Botanical Garden cannot refund fees requested on or after the start date of a program or for sessions missed due to student illness or other personal situations.

Learn how to make an outdoor patio firebowl! Create warmth and ambiance for your spring and summer entertaining. The instructions are easy plus you can personalize your firebowl to make it unique!

Virtual: Be a Part of the Solution – Plant a Landscape That Makes a Difference (presented by Melinda Myers)

In honor of Earth Day, join the Garden and nationally known garden expert, Melinda Myers, as we focus today and beyond on earth-friendly practices.

Plants and environmentally-friendly landscapes are one way individuals can make a difference in our changing climate. Using a diverse plant palette, planting natives whenever possible and appropriate, and keeping water where it falls – so it can be cleaned and filtered before entering the groundwater – are just a few of the strategies horticulturist, TV/radio host and author Melinda Myers will discuss. The focus will be on a comprehensive approach that can be phased in with strategies to fit various sized landscapes as well as those with time and/or budget restraints.

This talk will take place via Zoom and a recording will be available on Melinda’s website following the presentation.

Nationally known gardening expert, TV/radio host, author & columnist Melinda Myers has over 30 years of horticulture experience and has written over 20 gardening books, including Small Space Gardening, The Garden Book for Wisconsin, and the Midwest Gardener’s Handbook. She hosts the nationally-syndicated “Melinda’s Garden Moment” TV & radio program and The Great Courses “How to Grow Anything” DVD series. Myers is a columnist and contributing editor for Birds & Blooms and writes a nationally syndicated garden column. Prior to her current media work, Melinda hosted “The Plant Doctor” radio show for over 20 years as well as seven seasons of “Great Lakes Gardener” on PBS. Myers has a master’s degree in horticulture and was a horticulture instructor with tenure. Myers was recently inducted into the national Association for Garden Communicators Hall of Fame. Her website, www.melindamyers.com, features hundreds of gardening videos, audio tips, monthly garden checklists and more.

For your safety and the safety of our instructors and staff, class sizes are limited and physical distancing and other precautions will be taken during all educational programs.

Face coverings are required in all Garden buildings (ages 2 and up) and during outdoor programs when visitors are gathered in groups.
