Looking for a way to refresh your writing skills? Through the inspiration of our garden tableaus, you will become engaged in creating prose and poetry that you never knew you could create. Learn how to let your senses and talents paint word pictures that have been waiting to be written only through your creativity.
This four-session class will meet weekly for two hours, Wednesdays, September 9, 16, 23 & 30.
The instructor will choose venues throughout the Garden and you will write on a personal electronic device or paper. Each class will include skill review and instruction, as well as personal writing time. The instructor will meet individually with each student during that time to encourage ideas and answer questions.
Betty Pearson, a former Garden employee, is a freelance writer and a memoir writing instructor for Fox Valley Technical College. Her articles have been published in local newspapers, professional trade association journals, Voyageur and Our Wisconsin.

This year’s Field to Fork experience will still offer breathtaking views, camaraderie, and delicious local food prepared and served based on recommendations from the Brown County Public Health Department in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Guests will be seated by household at tables on the Mabel Thome Patio that will be physically distanced apart.
Servers will be assigned tables to safety deliver and clear food and wine for each course. All servers, cooks and staff will be wearing masks and gloves.
If inclement weather occurs, the Garden is able to physically distance guests in Cornerstone Foundation Hall in the Schneider Education Center.

Chef Kim Agostine has been a personal chef, a manager at Not By Bread Alone and currently owns Biebel’s Catering & Rental. A love of food, traveling for food, farm fresh ingredients and 20+ years in catering have led to the opportunity of being able to cook for the Field To Fork Dinner.

Why make kombucha? What the heck is it?
Rebecca will discuss the health benefits of kombucha, including what makes it so healthy, and then provide a step-by-step demonstration on how to make and bottle kombucha. There will be kombucha tasting of several different flavors as well as ample time for Q&A from the class.
Each person will receive directions and their very own S.C.O.B.Y. to start making kombucha at home!

Join us to commemorate when the Garden first opened its doors to the community!
Celebrate autumn’s wonders by exploring over 47 acres, enjoying a kid’s scavenger hunt and checking out natured–themed Discovery Bins throughout the Garden.
Admission is free but you must register in advance! If inclement weather should occur, the outdoor Gardens will be open to visit however no Discovery Bins will be available. Watch our Facebook page and website day–of for the latest updates.
Due to the ongoing COVID–19 pandemic, all attendees must pre–register for a selected entry time, which includes free admission. For the safety and enjoyment of guests, volunteers and staff, we will be limiting the number of visitors in the Garden at one time to allow everyone to physically distance. Guests need to arrive at the Garden within one hour of their selected entry time. Based on the visitor capacity limits we cannot guarantee entry into the event if you arrive early or late.

Learn and make your own kokedama – the Japanese art of creating potless plants that you can hang or put on a clay tray. Join in on this new, exciting botanical trend. This virtual class is about 30 minutes long and will walk you through the creation of your own kokedama.
