Don’t let the weather keep you in – celebrate the season at the Garden with your family! This free event will feature self-guided, outdoor activities:

  • Explore the outdoors and discover intriguing winter facts
  • Uncover winter surprises on a scavenger hunt
  • Try your skills at snowshoeing (pending 6+ inches of snow, ages six and up)
  • Take home a craft kit

Face coverings are required in all Garden buildings (ages 2 and up).

Our Hello 2021 Winter Sale starts this Friday, January 29 at the WPS Trellis Gift Shop. Shop clearance Holiday and seasonal items before or after your visit at the Garden. Plus, we still have lots of fun items to brighten your winter this year!

Yellowstone hyacinth flowerUPDATE: Due to warmer temperatures, most of our spring blooms are winding down for the season. Visit us in a few short weeks to see a spectacular array of summer blooms!

Spring’s splendor will take your breath away with more than 300,000 blooms!

Outside the Fischer Visitor Center, you’ll be greeted by bright and fragrant Yellowstone hyacinths along with the Judy Beauty® tulip blend and Spring Loaded® daffodil blend.

This year, we’ve decided to highlight the bulb of the year (hyacinth) as part of the National Garden Bureau’s Year Of program. We also added two hyacinth blends, Dutch Delft Pottery and Berry Parfait, among the Bicycle Kick and Baseline tulip blends near the Meredith B. Rose Cottage and Stumpf Belvedere, respectively. There will also be a planting in front of the Schierl Wellhouse that celebrates our 25th Anniversary– the bulbs will grow into the shape of the number 25.

Of course, our collection of over 100 magnolias also blooms around the same time as our spring bulb display, so there will be blossoms in the sky as well as on the ground – they bloom around the first two weeks of May. Our thousands of spring flowering perennials, shrubs and other trees will be at the party as well. Spring is truly a glorious time to visit your botanical garden!
