Why make kombucha? What the heck is it?
- “Kombucha is a fermented tea drink that’s made by adding yeast and a culture of bacteria to a mixture of black or green tea, sugar, and sometimes additional flavorings or fruit juice.” Learn more here
- It’s loaded with probiotics to improve overall health, especially gut health and the immune system!
- Easy & fun
- Inexpensive! Pennies per serving
Rebecca will discuss the health benefits of kombucha, including what makes it so healthy, and then provide a step-by-step demonstration on how to make and bottle kombucha. There will be kombucha tasting of several different flavors as well as ample time for Q&A from the class.
Each person will receive directions and their very own S.C.O.B.Y. to start making kombucha at home!
S.C.O.B.Y. = Symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast = essential to making kombucha
