The Garden is a 100% community supported nonprofit that connects people with plants in an environment that engages, inspires, and refreshes. A gift to the Annual Campaign allows us to continue to grow for years to come!

More than 196,000 annual guests on average explore a living museum of beautiful plants, outstanding educational opportunities, and exciting and engaging exhibits and events. This is possible because of the philanthropic support of our partners – YOU! You allow us to turn ordinary days into extraordinary experiences for all who come to the Garden and continue to grow memories for many years to come.

Growing Together on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday makes your impact BIG. On this day of generosity and goodwill across the globe, it can be seen in action at your very own Green Bay Botanical Garden.

From inspiring learners to growing plants, a gift to the Garden truly helps us grow! Giving today means the Garden will be here for this next season and beyond.

IRA Charitable Rollover

A tax-saving way to help Green Bay Botanical Garden – If you are 70 ½ or older you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit the Garden and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as ours without having to pay income taxes on the money. This law no longer has an expiration date so you are free to make annual gifts to our organization this year and well into the future.

Donor Advised Funds & Membership Payments

Green Bay Botanical Garden accepts gifts from Donor Advised Funds and IRAs as payment for membership. Memberships paid for by either of these methods will have all non-deductible benefits declined as required by law.

The benefits include the following:

  • single-use Guest Passes
  • tickets to TasteBud, Brews Bistros & Bonfires, and WPS Garden of Lights
  • Spring Signature Plant
  • invitations to certain member events

You may still utilize your Free Unlimited Daily Admission benefit and Free Admission to Thursday Night Sanimax Concert Series.

For gifts from Foundations, consult with your tax advisor if you have any questions about receiving tangible benefits in exchange for your gift.

Please note that a personal payment for the non-deductible portion (bifurcated payments) is typically not permitted; please consult with your tax advisor.

Gifts of Stock

Gifts of appreciated securities may provide significant tax benefits.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many companies match gifts to the Garden made by their employees. Some companies match 2:1 or even 3:1 which means your gift is doubled or tripled in your name. Some companies also match donations of their retirees! To find out if your company matches donations, contact your human resources department.

Legacy Giving

Leave a legacy of amazing beauty and adventure. Join our Perennial Legacy Society today! The joy you find in the Garden can last more than a lifetime.

Major Gifts

Make a difference with a major gift to the Garden. Your contribution helps a number of special programs and projects that are funded outside the annual operating budget. Your gift helps keep your Garden experience a unique and unexpected adventure.

Endowment

Endowment funds provide a stable source of income to guarantee that the Garden will continue to be an inspiring getaway and educational resource for your future. You can also help keep our admission and membership fees affordable so that the entire community can make memories in the outdoors. Named endowments also exist so you can choose specific gardens, programs, staff positions, or facilities you wish to support.

In-Kind Gifts

There are a variety of ways you can give to the Garden. We’re always in need of in-kind gifts of goods and services that help support our Horticulture Team, educational programs, and special events throughout the year. Donating an in-kind gift may also provide you with a charitable gift deduction.

Because of You

Thanks to the generous support of donors like you, the Garden is able to continue fulfilling its mission. See your impact.
