Jazz Uncorked with Steve March-Torme`

Friday, August 27 | 7–9 pm

Sip samplings of wine before the show paired with the smooth sounds of jazz from Steve March-Torme`. Steve’s extraordinary voice has electrified audiences in venues from the Detroit Jazz Festival to the McCallum Performing Arts Center in Palm Desert, CA, to the Smith Center in Las Vegas, and worldwide from London to Japan, Australia to Brazil and Canada.

Steve recorded his first LP, Lucky, for United Artists Records, supporting it with a 20-city, national concert tour. Upon returning to California, he produced and sang on Liza Minnelli’s Columbia Records release Tropical Nights, which became a favorite of New York dance clubs.

Steve’s latest CD, inside/out, goes back to his roots as a singer/songwriter, words and music written by Steve, on which he not only sings but plays keyboards and guitar. In addition to his performing and recording career, Steve is the weekday afternoon host on 91.1 FM The Avenue in Green Bay and northeastern Wisconsin.

CONCERT GUIDELINES, PARKING, TICKETS & WEATHER

Do I have reserved seats with my reservations?

There will be ushers who will help you find a space once you check-in on the Grand Garden lawn or Cowles Terrace, ensuring groups maintain the necessary physical distancing. Ushers will be in the Fischer Overlook Arbor to direct guests.

What if I need to cancel?

Your advance ticket and fees are nonrefundable. To cancel, email events@gbbg.org or call the Garden at 920.490.9457.

What happens in cases of rain or threat of severe weather?

Concerts are rain or shine!

Bring your ponchos and/or smaller umbrellas if there’s a high probability of rain. Please be courteous to your neighbors by not blocking their views with large or golf umbrellas. Our weather policy states if there is inclement weather in our area, the concert will be delayed until the threat has passed. The decision to continue a concert after adverse weather passes will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on consultation with appropriate weather experts. If a storm or tornado situation arises, guests will be escorted into the Schneider Education Center and Fischer Visitor Center and if the concert needs to end, there will be no refunds.

Is the Billie Kress Amphitheater accessible? Where is the barrier-free ADA section?

It is our intent to make every concert experience accessible to every guest. Green Bay Botanical Garden is an accessible facility and proudly complies with ADA regulations. We encourage all guests with special needs to contact the Garden’s Events Department at 920.491.3691 ext. 118, and every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate the need. As accommodations are limited, we can better serve those who assist us with advance coordination.

Barrier-free and ADA areas are in the Fischer Overlook Arbor and Mabel Thome Patio. View a map of the barrier-free ADA seating locations. Guests wishing to sit in one of these areas may be accompanied by a companion (or more if room is available). Guests in wheelchairs have priority—a very limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A golf cart will assist guests with mobility needs around the Schneider Family Grand Garden from the lower level patio to the Concessions Building, Cowles Terrace, etc. during the concert and after the concert. The golf cart is an 8-passenger cart to safely distance guests from the volunteer driver. This service is provided to Garden guests with mobility issues. Service starts when doors open and is located by the light pole at the Woodland Garden entrance. The service will last 30 minutes after the concert ends to help with shuttling guests back up to the lower level patio.

In addition, staff will be located in the Fisher Overlook and Mabel Thome Patio to offer beverage service to guests, including taking drink orders, picking up drinks and delivering them to guests.

Parking Staff will direct concertgoers with vehicles displaying an ADA license plate or card to the ADA parking areas (18 available spots). Guests with accessible needs can also be dropped off close to the Garden’s entrance by pulling into the circle driveway.

Due to COVID-19, there will not be two golf carts to assist guests with mobility needs from the Garden’s parking lot to the Garden’s front door. Guest can pull into the Garden’s circle driveway to unload. Once guests check in they can ask for a golf cart ride from the Fischer Visitor Center down to the Schneider Family Grand Garden.

To reserve your ADA seat ahead of time, contact us at 920.491.3691 ext. 118.
