Due to the heat, Butterflies & Blooms will be closed at 12 pm today and will repoen tomorrow (Monday, August 10) at 10 am. The Garden is open 9 am-8 pm daily (except Thursdays, 9 am-4:30 pm) through August 31. Garden grounds are open, but access to buildings is limited. See details below.

Sanimax Concert Series

Sanimax Concert Series

Thursdays, July 9–August 20 | 6–8 pm

Garden members and guests will be required to follow Governor Evers Executive Order #82, Emergency Order #1 starting Saturday, August 1 and wear face coverings in all enclosed spaces from August 1 through September 28.

Stroll through the Garden, enjoy live music from local musicians, wine, beer and dining. Guests are encouraged to bring picnics, lawn chairs, blankets and their dancing shoes! Please no beverage carry-ins.

The Garden closes to the public at 4:30 pm on Thursdays. Concerts will be for Garden Members only based on the allotted number of people per their membership level benefit. Up to 250 members will be able to make a reservation for each concert all on a first-come, first-served basis. Make a concert reservation by clicking on the “Concert Reservations” tab below.

What does COVID-19 mean for Sanimax Concerts this year?

  • Sanimax Concerts are for members only through reservations based on the allotted number of people per their membership level benefit.
  • A $5 nonrefundable reservation fee will be required at the time of booking your reservation. Which will be returned to the member in the form of a beverage coupon to be redeemed for one beverage in the concessions building.
  • When making your reservation, you will select a timed entry beginning at 4:30 pm, every 15 minutes until 6 pm. You must enter the Garden based on your timed entry to check-in.
  • There will be ushers who will help you find your space on the Grand Lawn, ensuring groups maintain the necessary physical distancing.
  • On Thursday morning a decision will be made if the Sanimax concert will be canceled as it cannot be moved indoors. Please watch our website and Facebook page for an update. Rain dates will be determined individually with the performers. Members who make reservations for a concert that may experience a weather cancelation will be notified of the rain date and have the opportunity to cancel their reservation without penalty.
  • No golf cart shuttles will be made available in the parking lot due to physical distancing. Guests with mobility concerns can be dropped off at the Garden’s circle driveway.
  • The Garden will be selling single serve beverages in a can or bottle at the Concessions Building only.
  • Pre-order your boxed dinner with Not by Bread Alone. Not by Bread Alone will be located on the Mabel Thome Patio only.
  • Face coverings are recommended by the CDC.
  • Extra sanitizing stations will be located throughout the Garden.
  • We ask guests to maintain proper physical distancing of 6 feet.

FOOD & DRINK

May I bring in my own food and/or will food be available for purchase at concerts?

Feel free to bring in your own picnic. The Garden will feature a beverage offering water, soda, lemonade, tea, beer, win and pre-mixed, botanically-inspired cocktails for purchase in our Concessions Building. Reminder that face coverings are required in all Garden buildings. No alcohol or beverage carry-ins are allowed.

New This Year! Pre-order your boxed dinner from Not By Bread Alone before the concert and you will be guaranteed a fresh, delightful summer meal to enjoy at the concert. Order by Tuesday at 12 pm and pick up your meal on the Mabel Thome Patio on Thursday night.

Not By Bread Alone will also offer a variety of food options available for purchase at the Garden during each concert.

Bags and purses may be subject to security searches. If prohibited items are found, customers will be asked to store items in their locked vehicle or dispose of item.

There are no ATMs on site.

What kind of beverages can I bring into the Amphitheater?

No beverage carry-ins. In compliance with our liquor license, the Garden has a no beverage carry-in policy – this includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Bags may be searched and you may be asked to return items to your vehicle. Guests may bring in empty water bottles or other empty beverage containers to use for refills. Any exceptions to this policy could result in loss of our license. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

Beer, wine, pre-mixed cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are available at our concessions building. All guests consuming alcohol will have IDs checked at the concession stand for service.

CONCERT GUIDELINES, PARKING & WEATHER

Why do I need to make a reservation if I am a Garden member?

Your reservation helps the Garden manage the number of guests that we are limited to based on Brown County Health Department guidelines and helps us maintain proper physical distancing for all guests.

Garden members must make a reservation under the Concerts Reservation tab by selecting the concert date and their timed entry. Garden members who show up without a reservation will not have access to the concert. Please be considerate of other members and only make a reservation if you are certain you will be attending.

To encourage members to commit to their attendance, we are requesting a nonrefundable $5 reservation fee per person which will be returned to the member in the form of a beverage coupon to be redeemed for one beverage in the Concessions Building.

Do I have reserved seats with my reservations?

There is no assigned seating with your reservation unless you have called about accessible ADA Seating.

What if I need to cancel?

Please be considerate of other members and only make a reservation if you are certain you will be attending. To encourage members to commit to their attendance, we are requesting a nonrefundable $5 reservation fee per person.

If you need to cancel, do so within 24 hours to allow for other Garden members to sign up for a reservation. Your $5 reservation fee is nonrefundable. To cancel, email events@gbbg.org or call the Garden at 920.490.0457.

What time can I arrive for the concert?

Is the Billie Kress Amphitheater accessible? Where is the barrier-free ADA section?

It is our intent to make every concert experience accessible to every guest. Green Bay Botanical Garden is an accessible facility and proudly complies with ADA regulations. We encourage all guests with special needs to contact the Garden’s Events Department at 920.491.3691 ext. 125 and every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate the need. As accommodations are limited, we can better serve those who assist us with advance coordination.

Barrier-free and ADA areas are in the Fischer Overlook Arbor. View a map of the barrier-free ADA seating locations. Guests wishing to sit in one of these areas may be accompanied by a companion (or more if room is available). Guests in wheelchairs have priority—a very limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first come, first serve basis.

A golf cart will assist guest with mobility needs around the Schneider Family Grand Garden from the lower level patio to the Concessions Building, Cowles Terrace, etc. during the concert and after the concert. This service is provided to Garden guests with mobility issues. Service starts when doors open and is located by the light pole at the Woodland Garden entrance. The service will last 30 minutes after the concert ends to help with shuttling guests back up to the lower level patio.

Parking Staff will direct concertgoers with vehicles displaying an ADA license plate or placard to the ADA parking areas (18 available spots). Guests with accessibility needs can also be dropped off close to the Garden’s entrance by pulling into the circle driveway.

Due to COVID-19, there will not be two golf carts to assist guests with mobility needs from the Garden’s parking lot to the Garden’s front door. Guests can pull into the Garden’s circle driveway to drop off other guests. Once guests check in, they can ask for a golf cart ride from the Fischer Visitor Center down to the Schneider Family Grand Garden.

What is the Sponsored Seating area?

The Sponsored Seating section is a special area on the Cowles Terrace in front of the Billie Kress Amphitheater for Sanimax Concert Series sponsors. Where do I park?

Parking is free, but limited on the Garden’s grounds. Parking volunteers will direct you to available spots. Please drive slowly when approaching the Garden and watch for directional parking signs. Overflow parking is made available near the Garden, please watch for parking volunteers directing traffic and overflow parking signage.

Is smoking allowed during the Concert?

The Garden is a smoke-free, vape-free environmentally friendly facility. Smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere on the grounds, including the parking lot.

Can I bring my pet with me?

Service animals are welcome, but please leave pets and Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) at home. Please let us know you have a service animal when you arrive so we can make our staff aware. View frequently asked questions about service animals and the ADA.

Are weapons allowed at the Garden?

The Garden does not permit the right to carry concealed weapons on the grounds. If the customer refuses to return weapon to vehicle, he or she will be refused admittance to the Garden.

Can I record the concert on a video recording device?

Video recording is not permitted at the concert.
